Reducing your carbon footprint

Reducing your carbon footprint

Sustainability is more than just a buzzword at Palletower; it’s a core value. We’re working towards understanding our environmental responsibilities and developing strategies to reduce our impact. That’s why we’ve partnered with Positive Planet, a sustainability business advisory to better understand the impact of our distribution to the UK and how it affects carbon emissions. By relocating our manufacturing processes to the UK, we’ve helped eliminate large-scale European imports and reduced harmful greenhouse gas emissions.

Palletower’s UK-made plastic boxes are now more eco-friendly than ever. We have a duty of care to protect our environment, so all plastic pallet boxes are constructed from sustainable PP (polypropylene) or HDPE (high-density polyethylene), making our plastic pallets highly durable and readily recycled. Every box can be collected and recycled to produce new, sustainable plastic boxes, so you won’t ever have to contribute to landfill waste.

We’re taking action

We know actions speak louder than words. That’s why we’ve rolled out the following initiatives:

  • Installing solar panels to reduce reliance on non-renewable energy
  • Reducing waste and adopting a recycling program within the business
  • Reducing lengthy supply chains by moving from plastic production abroad to UK factories
  • Manufacturing with composite plastics made from a combination of virgin and recyclable plastic
